The Northern Star Theatre Company is a 100% volunteer, non-profit community theatre. Volunteers share a vision of creating productions designed to entertain and enrich audiences of all ages through their collaborative efforts. Northern Star Center for the Arts is located at 104 S. Main St. in beautiful downtown Rice Lake. The center is committed to the continued development of the cultural arts within the community. The purpose of the Northern Star Theatre Company is to stimulate, promote and develop interest in the dramatic arts, to expose our local community to quality live theatre year round; to advance culture in the field of dramatic arts, and to bring dramatic arts to areas and population centers that are not adequately served. Our mission is to build community through the creative collaborative process involved in bringing a production to the stage. We could not accomplish our goals without generous help of businesses, local civic groups and individuals. The Northern Star Theatre Co. has accomplished a great deal in ten years. We produce six to nine productions a year having involved well over 1,000 individuals from age 6 months to 86 years young. All individuals volunteer their time in a variety of capacities from acting to lighting, from maintenance to set design. NSTC is 100% volunteer with no paid employees. Our audience includes people from all over the United States with an average annual attendance approaching 7,500.
